Separation of access
Users from workspace A can't see data from workspace B. Every user in a workspace has a separate login and password. For example:
Master Account
- Owner: login0/password0
- Employee 1: login1/password1
- Employee 2: login2/password2
Workspace 1
- User 3: login3/password3
- User 4: login4/password4
Workspace 2
- User 5: login5/password5
- User 6: login6/password6
We also support different levels of access. For instance, only the owner of the master account can log in and see data in Workspace 1 or 2.
Create a user
There are two ways to create a user:
- Directly in the Workspaces UI
- Through the Invitation UI
Directly in the Workspaces UI
- Click "Add new sub-account"
- Simply enter the user's email and password.
Through the Invitation UI
- Click on the “Sign up page” button.
- Copy the URL and open it in an incognito browser. A UI for creating a new user will appear.
- Enter a unique email that you have not used in Conduit before. For multiple Workspaces, use the following template:
- If your main email is max@getconduit.app, then use:
- max+1@getconduit.app
- max+2@getconduit.app
- max+3@getconduit.app
- If your main email is max@getconduit.app, then use:
After successfully creating an account (the Conduit home page will open), close the incognito browser and return to your master account.
Users in Your Team vs. Sub-Accounts in Workspaces
The users you add to Workspace differ from those you add to the master account team.
- Master Account Team Users:
- Added via the team management UI(https://app.getconduit.app/auth/team/)[https://app.getconduit.app/auth/team/].
- Have access to all master account data sources.
- Workspace(s) Users:
- Added via the Workspace management UI (https://app.getconduit.app/r/agency/workspaces/).
- Only see data connected to Workspace.
- Cannot invite new users.
- Cannot manage account billing.
- Users invited to Workspace are on the Agency plan.
- They do not have a trial or free plan, nor do they need to activate the product or pay for it
The master account owner fully controls their capabilities and can disable their sub-account or access to data at any time.
