Union

close

Problem:

You have executed your marketing campaign on two different platforms and ended up with two different data sources and would like to combine them into a single report with all the relevant information.

Resolution:

We will be using the “Union” building block to tie together two datasets into one and customize the final output as per our needs.

Step 1

We start with adding two “Pull Data” building blocks to the canvas one of which represents Google Ads data and the second one is representing Facebook Ads.

Step 2

Let’s drag the “Union” block to the canvas and indicate our datasets. At this point we can customize our output report. As a dimension we select “Ad Network”. The “Clicks” will be our metric.

Step 3

Now let’s click on “View” to see our output result. We see that the report contains data from 2 different data sources. If we don’t want to see the breakdown by the network, just remove it from the report setup and you will see the total of clicks. Also, you can create a widget on the dashboard that would combine the number of clicks both from Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
