Instagram Integration

Requirements
To access the Instagram API, you need to fulfill two requirements set by Facebook:

  1. Your Instagram account must be a Professional account.
  2. This Instagram Professional account must be linked to a Facebook Page.

How do I know if my Instagram account is Professional?

To verify that your Instagram account is set to Professional, point your browser to:

https://www.instagram.com/{your_instgram_account_name}/
e.g. https://www.instagram.com/conduit.app/

Normally, you should be able to view and access this section:

Then, point your mouse to the Professional Account section

Please be aware that purchasing advertising on Facebook does not automatically satisfy these conditions.

How do I know, that my account is connected to a Facebook Page?

Check the linked accounts, by pointing your browser to the Professional Dashboard

To open this page, you should be logged in as the Page (click your Page's profile picture in the top right of Facebook.)

About Instagram Insights story reporting limitations

The Instagram Insights API gives a short lifespan to stories. This means that they’re only available for 24 hours after they’re created, even if they’re highlighted or archived. As a result, story data will continually disappear from reporting API.

So we can't download data for days prior to connecting.
