What to Do if Conduit Does Not Show Data for a YouTube Channel
What to do if Conduit does not show data for a YouTube channel.
When connecting to YouTube, you might encounter the following issues:
- The application displays the message: "Authentication error: Credentials do not have any Channels."
- Metrics for a channel are missing.
- Some metrics are missing.
Authentication error: Credentials do not have any Channels
You should have be owner of at least one YouTube channel. The "Manager" access is not enough.
Permissions
- Go to the channel's settings in YouTube Studio.
- Verify that the user is set as the Owner of the channel.
Workaround
Ask the channel owner to connect the channel. You can either invite them to the application as a team member or create a link that allows them to connect without opening the application.
Metrics for a channel are missing
You need to be an owner of the channel for which you are trying to view the metrics. The "Manager" access is not enough.
See the same workaround as in the "Credentials do not have any Channels".
Some metrics are missing
Revenue related metrics are accessible only to the YouTube Partners.
Additionally, there might be a mix-up with the credentials. Verify the Channel ID:
- Compare the channel ID in Conduit with the channel ID in YouTube Studio.
- Ensure that both IDs match.
If they do not match, the user either does not have access rights to the channel or is not the Owner of the channel.
