Connecting a Google Sheet
Copy URL of a spreadsheet
To connect a spreadsheet, first copy its URL. If the spreadsheet contains multiple sheets(tabs), make sure to copy the URL of the specific tab you want.
You can then use this URL with Copilot or Workflow.
If you need to connect multiple sheets, each sheet must be connected individually.
Open the Connection UI
In Copilot:
In Workflows:
Configuration Overview
Specifying the URL
- You can specify the URL of the entire spreadsheet or a specific tab. It's best to use Copy & Paste.
- To change the URL, click on the button with the Pencil icon, then enter the new URL.
- If you make changes to the columns in your spreadsheet, refresh the list of columns and their types.
- You can open the spreadsheet in a separate window for easier access.
Configuring International Formats
- Configure international formats for numbers
- and dates in the downloadable spreadsheet.
Finding the Table
- If the column names in your spreadsheet start on a different row,
this means you need to adjust the "Read from line" setting (1) in Conduit.
Configuring Columns for Analysis
- Select only the columns needed for analysis.
- Specify the column kind(dimensions or metrics).
- For metrics, ensure the correct type is specified
- and choose an appropriate aggregating function.
Choose date column
If you want to use a spreadsheet in a dashboard or workflow and need the data to be filtered by date, it might be worth specifying the column that should be used for this purpose.
